Future Projects
The Heron’s Nest
The Heron’s Nest is a Land Back and Community Hub created on 3.56 acres of land in the West Duwamish Greenbelt. This project is in partnership with the Duwamish Tribe who are in the process of taking on full ownership and management of the site. The Heron’s Nest preserves critical habitat from for-profit development, and hosts community resources like a food forest, greenhouse, tool library, outdoor theater and concert venue.
River Access Paddle Program (RAPP)
The River Access Paddle Program is a a community resource that offers training to become a paddlesports guide, licensed powerboat operator and tour guide to people historically excluded from the paddlesports/outdoor recreation industry. RAPP hosts marine debris cleanups, ecological restoration projects, historical/ecological tours and makes the Salish Sea watersheds more accessible to the public.
Dig Deep Docuseries
Dig Deep is a docuseries currently in production that seeks to show grassroots community solutions to major environmental issues. The first installment, the Waste Stream, will premier in 2025. Dig Deep will include full length docs, short films as well as training videos and manuals designed to empower audiences to actively take part in the struggles for environmental justice.
